Srinagar April 12 (KNO) : Stating that the Chief Minister should clarify her stand on the involvement of two Senior Ministers instigating trouble in Kathua with regard to brutal murder and rape of eight year old nomad girl Asifa, the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President today expressed surprise over the silence maintained by Mehbooba Mufi on this serious issue, saying that both the Ministers should have been sacked on the day one for giving communal colour to shameful act of rape and murder.

In a Statement issued today, G.A. Mir criticized the Chief Minister over maintaining silence on the involvement of two Senior Ministers responsible for adding communal colour to shameful act of murder to serve their vested interests. Anybody seeking protection to culprits is highly condemnable and inhuman, he said Lashing out at the politics being played over the brutal murder and rape of innocent girl, G.A. Mir stated that CM being the Head of coalition has full authority to sack the Ministers to maintain peaceful atmosphere in Jammu, besides ensuring justice to the victim, but I am both surprised and shocked over the dual policies of Mehbooba Mufti, who on the one hand is assuring action against the culprits, but on the other hand, she has maintained silence over the involvement of her two Cabinet colleagues, G.A. Mir said. What type of coalition She is running,

G.A. Mir questioned and said the dual standards adopted by the Chief Minister vitiated the peaceful atmosphere in Jammu also, the fire of which will engulf the entire state, he cautioned. It is surprising that despite being aware about the role of the two Senior Ministers behind Kahtua agitation, Chief Minister is patronizing them by not taking any action against them, one fails to understand as to who is ruling the State actually. The inaction on the part of Chief Minister amounts to shielding the them (Ministers), he said. JKPCC President asked the Chief Minister to go for self-introspection and take action before the fire of rape & murder of innocent nomad girl engulfs’ the entire State, for which she will be responsible fully, he warned and added that Kashmir is already burning due to failure of State Govt on all counts, now the efforts are being made to disturb the peace and tranquility in Jammu.
